Devastation...
I have posted a picture of New Orleans after the hurricane. Very sobering, and it makes you realize the power of nature as God has given it. Let's be in prayer over the relief and rescue efforts, and pray that the churches in that area will be instrumental in bringing about God's healing.

Yes amen . I agree and add my faith to this. In Jesus name.
This situation continues to get worse - I am considering what our response should be as a church, and considering sending funds on our church's behalf to aide. Let's pray about this together. My heart is heavy to see the devastation.
Rob,
Maybe we could contact some churches just outside the disaster zone and coordinate some efforts with them. I know the Gibson's have a lot of clothes, etc. in storage. Although we hate to sit on our hands while people are suffering, until the agencies get a grasp as to what is needed chances of anything getting to them quickly will probably not happen
Dave,
Your suggestion is a good one, and I am working on that angle, as well as seeing what aide organizations are doing. I will keep this list posted as I find out more info.

hey rob... I had an idea... We know some pastors down there... I was thinking of Rick Carter when they said Gulf Port, MS. Maybe we can send stuff through our fellowship connections or something.
See the post above for more - good stuff Dave and Rod.
